Nintendo’s first smartphone game is finally available to download in the U.S. and Europe, two weeks after making its debut in Japan.

Miitomo, which lets you create your very own Mii and socialize in a virtual world, is free to play on both Android and iOS.

Although it’s not the Nintendo game we were hoping to get when the Japanese company announced it would finally develop games for mobile, Miitomo has been a surprising success in Japan, where it attracted over 1 million downloads in its first three days.

Nintendo will be hoping that is just as well received in Western markets. Many fans will have already registered their Miitomo account, which they can now use to login to the app and begin creating their Mii.

Just like those you make on Nintendo’s own Wii U and 3DS consoles, Miis are little cartoon people. You can customize their hair, clothes, facial features and more, then take them out into a virtual world where they can interact with other Miis.

Miitomo also connects to your Facebook and Twitter accounts (if you want it to) to make it easier to play with friends. And of course, there are in-app purchases that let you buy virtual coins that you can use to purchase additional items.
