BlackBerry’s first Android smartphone will be offered by AT&T in the U.S. — and you’ll be able to purchase yours this week. Prices for Priv start at under $25 a month on an AT&T Next plan, giving you a more affordable alternative to BlackBerry’s steep $699 off-contract price.

Priv isn’t just BlackBerry’s first Android device; it’s also one of the most exciting Androids we’ve seen this year. It boasts a curved Quad HD display and high-end specifications, and a slide-out keyboard that long-time BlackBerry fans will be grateful to see.

BlackBerry has also outfitted Priv with a number of trademark features like BlackBerry Hub, BBM, and a new security platform called DTEK, which helps keep your device and data secure.

The glaring downside to Priv is its price tag: If you want one off-contract and unlocked, you’ll be paying a whopping $699, which makes Priv one of the most expensive Android devices available. But it if more affordable if you get it on contract.

AT&T, which is the first U.S. carrier to announce it will offer Priv, will let you grab the device for $249 upfront on a traditional two-year contract, or from $24.67 a month on an AT&T Next plan. You can order yours this Friday, October 6.
