Amazon isn’t the only retailer looking to shift cheap Android Wear watches on Apple Watch pre-order day, it seems. AT&T is also offering a killer deal on the LG G Watch, which can now be had for a mere $50.

The G Watch was one of the first Android Wear watches to hit the market, but its internals are almost identical to the more recent (and more expensive) G Watch R, and many other Wear watches. The only thing it’s really missing is a heart rate monitor.

If you can live without that, this is an incredible deal on a Wear watch, and a super affordable way to get into the Wear ecosystem. When the G Watch first made its debut, it was priced at $229.

I owned a G Watch for about six months before picking up a Moto 360, and I really enjoyed it. It has good battery life, it’s water-resistant, and it’s compatible with almost any 22mm watch strap. It’s not perfect, but it’s certainly very good — and at $50 it’s a steal.

If you’re willing to pay a bit more for a more attractive device that does have a heart rate monitor, check out Amazon’s deal on the Moto 360, which is now just $179 with a leather strap, and $229 with a metal strap.
