Verizon HTC One Gets Pictured Ahead Of Its Release

HTC-One-Verizon

Verizon customers have been patiently awaiting the release of the HTC One since it was confirmed in early June, and although the carrier promised it would be here “this summer,” we’re still yet to see a more specific release date. The device has now appeared in a leaked press image, which suggests it may not be available until September.

The image above was published by @Evleaks, an incredibly reliable source that’s famous for leaking smartphones ahead of their release. The handset looks identical to the original HTC One that launched on AT&T, and if it wasn’t for the Verizon 4G LTE logo in the status bar, you might think it was the original.

But it’s the date on the display, which reads Thursday, September 5, that’s most interesting. Although we can’t be sure, we have a feeling that this will be the HTC One’s launch date on Verizon; press images like these often have launch dates on screen.

That may not be the case, of course, but if it is, the HTC One won’t be on Verizon this summer. Customers will have to wait a few weeks longer instead.
