The long-awaited Sense 6 upgrade for the HTC One max is finally rolling out to Verizon customers. In addition to HTC’s latest apps and user interface, the package brings an improved BlinkFeed, customizable fonts and themes, and a whole bunch of important bug fixes and improvements.

One-M8-for-Windows

HTC’s One M8 is widely regarded as the finest Android phone you can buy, and it just became the finest Windows Phone, too. Exclusively on Verizon, the “HTC One M8 for Windows” (that’s its long and official name) is just like the original, with BoomSound and a Duo Camera — and it’s just $99 on a two-year contract.

If you’re an HTC One M8 owner on Verizon, it seems your Android 4.4.3 upgrade is going to take a great deal longer than originally anticipated. A GPS issue has led to delays in the software’s rollout, but HTC expects Verizon users to begin receiving it by mid-September.

Galaxy-S5-back-blue

Samsung’s Electric Blue Galaxy S5 will finally be available to purchase in the United States this month — but it will be a Best Buy exclusive. Prices will start at $149.99 on a two-year contract with Verizon, and aside from its paint job, the new handset will be identical to its siblings in looks and specifications.

Verizon is currently rolling out a relatively minor over-the-air update to all of its carrier-branded Galaxy S5’s located in the United States. Although this upgrade’s reportedly aimed at ‘updating stock applications on the handset and fixing a selection of known bugs,’ it looks like Big Red may have an ulterior motive for pushing it out, too.
