Verizon has announced that the HTC Droid DNA will soon be getting its first software update, but it isn’t the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean upgrade you’ve been hoping for. It will deliver a slew of important bug fixes, however, improving sound quality and Wi-Fi connectivity, and allowing users to finally load videos in Hulu Plus.

HTC doesn’t normally update devices once they’ve reached a certain age — usually because they’re not powerful enough for the latest Android software — but it appears to be making an exception for the 2010 Verizon Droid Incredible. Don’t get too excited, it’s not getting Jelly Bean, but it is getting a much-needed fix to kill a random reboot issue.

The Samsung Galaxy S II’s Jelly Bean upgrade has finally begun its rollout in Spain today, reaching international handsets with the GT-I9100 model number. In addition to new Jelly Bean features like Google Now and Project Butter, the software brings Samsung’s latest “TouchWiz Nature UX,” which has been gracing the Korean company’s latest devices since the Galaxy S III launched in May 2012.

LG has finally begun rolling out its Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Optimus G, almost seven months after Google first announced the platform update. The update is currently reaching handsets in South Korea on the SK Telecom network, but those in the United States shouldn’t have to wait too long for it. As you’d expect, this release brings a number of new features that will significantly improve the performance and user experience of your handset.

Samsung has begun rolling out Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to two of its tablet in the United States. The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 both began receiving the upgrade over the weekend, following its debut on European devices. As you’d expect, this software comes with a whole host of new features and improvements.
