Samsung has officially started rolling out the much-anticipated Android 4.4.2 update to all its Galaxy S4 and S4 LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) variants currently located in Korea. In addition to the hefty bump up from Jelly Bean to KitKat, however, this particular upgrade brings a newer version of the TouchWiz user interface, as well as a multitude of bug fixes, speed optimizations and stability improvements.

Verizon is currently in the process of pushing out the much-anticipated Android 4.4.2 update to all of its carrier-branded Moto G handsets located in the United States. This upgrade brings the latest build of KitKat to the device, in addition to the usual multitude of additional bug fixes, stability improvements and speed optimizations.

Apex Launcher Pro is currently receiving a much-anticipated update. For those unaware, Apex is an extremely versatile third-party home screen launcher, which allows its users to completely alter the appearance of their smartphone or tablet.

The upgrade doesn’t bring much in terms of new functionality, but it does bring a multitude of highly-requested bug fixes, stability improvements and speed optimizations, plus the ability to sort apps in the drawer and receive push notifications via Apex Notifier 2.0.

According to an anonymous U.S. Cellular representative, the operator is all but ready to start pushing out the much-anticipated Android 4.4.2 update for its carrier-branded Moto X handsets currently located in the United States. The update is expected to start landing on our devices within the next couple of todays, bringing with it an improved camera experience, support for Google Print Services and all of the added functionality that KitKat includes.

Canadian One’s did make HTC’s self-imposed 90 day update deadline, after all. Rogers, TELUS, Bell, Virgin, SaskTel and Wind are now rolling out the much-anticipated over-the-air Android 4.4 KitKat update to all HTC One smartphones currently located in Canada. This upgrade, which weighs in at just under 600MB, brings the latest build of the open-source operating system, in addition to the usual multitude of bug fixes, stability improvements and speed enhancements.
