Google is rolling out another new update to its stock Camera app to add two new panorama modes, 16:9 capturing, and a self-timer. The version 2.2 release comes less than a month after Google Camera received the ability to capture photos while recording video.

A new Nexus 8 powered by a 64-bit Tegra processor could make a surprise appearance at Google I/O next month. Mentions of the device, which is codenamed “Flounder” internally, have been spotted numerous times in Android source code — despite Google’s attempts to keep the new tablet a closely-guarded secret.

Samsung is finally bringing its Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to the international Galaxy S4 Active (GT-I9295), more than a month after it made its debut on the AT&T version. In addition to performance improvements and several design tweaks, this release adds support for wireless printing, the ability to change the default messaging app and launcher, and more.

According to a leaked press render on a Chinese website, HTC is currently in the process of developing a scaled-down, more affordable variant of the One (M8), its flagship smartphone of 2014, which is expected to launch on Tuesday, June 3.

A leaked internal document has surfaced on the internet disclosing that Samsung is in the process of internally testing the new, unannounced Android 4.4.3 update on both the Snapdragon and Exynos-powered variants of the Galaxy S5, together with the LTE-A edition of the Galaxy S4.
