Sony’s upcoming Xperia Z3 will pack a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor combined with 3GB of RAM, according to a new report, but a super sharp Quad HD display will not be appearing on its specifications sheet. Instead, the device is expected to deliver the same Full HD (1080p) resolution as its predecessor with a slightly smaller screen.
Three months after its global availability, Sony has finally put the Xperia Z2 on sale in the United States. The handset will not be sold via any carrier and instead interested consumers would have to buy it unlocked from Sony’s US web store.
Sony has finally followed Samsung’s lead and given Xperia smartphone owners the ability to move applications to their microSD cards. The new feature comes bundled with the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update that began rolling out to select Xperia devices this week.

Information included in the filing documentation reveals that we could possibly be looking at Sony’s upcoming Xperia Z3 (D6603) — a revamped model of the company’s flagship smartphone of 2014.
It appears that Sony is in a rather playful mood today. Earlier this morning, the Japanese multinational company announced a ‘brand new’ handset in Germany called the Xperia Style. At first, just for a minute, we thought it could possibly be a newborn smartphone, but, in actual fact, it’s the existing Xperia T3 previously unveiled in the U.S. with a new name and model number for the German market.
