LG_G3_2

Last night, LG unveiled its flagship handset for 2014 — the LG G3. When it finally hits the shelves later next month, the G3 is bound to battle it out against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S5, HTC One M8 and the Xperia Z2 for the best smartphone of the year crown.

Compared to its competition, the G3 does have some unique and innovative features up it sleeves that makes it the number one contender for the best smartphone of this year including a sexy design, the relative lack of bezel around its display and wireless charging.

G3-unveiling

Earlier today, LG unveiled its latest high-end Android-powered smartphone, the G3, and, as I’m sure many of you would agree, it looks pretty impressive, boasting a stunning 2K display, and the world’s first laser autofocusing camera. The question some of us are asking though, is just how does this new handset compare to other flagships on the market?

HTC is in the midst of pushing out its first major post-release update to all unlocked and carrier-branded variants of its current flagship smartphone, the One (M8), located in Europe. Weighing in at 66MB, this upgrade doesn’t bring much to the table in terms of added functionality, but it does include a handful of stability improvements all aimed at making a user’s experience better when using the handset.

Even though the HTC One M8 features the same primary camera as its predecessor, it packs in some nice bokeh and 3D effects thanks to the secondary depth camera. The uFocus effect, in particular, which blurs the background behind a subject to provide a ‘bokeh’ effect works particularly well and is among the most highlighted features of the device.

However, there is a serious flaw with the One M8’s camera that will greatly affect your image quality. Read below to find out about it.
