‘Tis the season for discounted games! More and more holiday sales are appearing and this time we have a couple of hit titles from none other than Rockstar Games. If you head over to the Play store, you’ll find both Grand Theft Auto III and Max Payne Mobile on sale for the low price of $0.99.

SEGA loves themselves some Sonic — and they’re hoping you do too. The hedgehog that never sees his shadow (or if he does, isn’t afraid of it) is back in the Play store! This time around, Sonic is doing battle with Dr. Eggman in a more vertical environment.

Yup, I said “hats.”

Madfinger Games announced on its Facebook page today an update to multiplayer FPS game, Shadowgun: Deadzone on both Google Play and the iTunes App Store. The update includes two new maps, new weapon upgrades, a chat feature in the main menu, a new way to play with groups of friends called Gangs, new hats, Rewards for finishing Zone Control or DeathMatch, and an increase to max player ranks (up to 50).

Poor Negative Nimbus. He’s so sad, and so full of water, it’s a challenge to sail across the sky without drenching the happy hot dogs and caterpillars out for a picnic lunch, while still watering the happy flowers along the way. What’s a depressed cloud to do?

Apparently, the answer is to launch on Android, via the Google Play store and the Amazon Marketplace. That’s just what CloudKid’s fantastic game, Negative Nimbus, has done for the holiday season.

Google’s latest holiday promo appears to involve the Play store and a few incognito elves. These elves will be unwrapping a special play offer each day through 1/1/2013. These offers could be anything from special app promotions to saving money within an app. For instance, today’s offer gives anyone who downloads the app Hotel Tonight $35 to use towards their first hotel booking.
