The official CyanogenMod Installer app that hit Google Play earlier this month has been pulled by its developers. The CyanogenMod team says that the app violates Google Play’s developer terms, and so it was voluntarily removed to adhere to Google’s rules.

Sony has always been slow in updating their devices to the latest version of Android. While Motorola has already updated the Moto X to KitKat, OEMs like HTC and Samsung have promised to update their flagship devices to KitKat by January end. Sony, on the other hand, has only confirmed the devices that would be getting the KitKat update.

OmniROM, developed by ex-CyanogenMod members and  talented developers like Chainfire, have started rolling out the official nightlies of their ROM based on Android 4.4 KitKat. Initially, the team is bringing their nighties to fifteen Android devices including the likes of Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Galaxy S4, S3, Note 2 and more.
