We’re starting to catch sight of the new Nexus 7’s first official accessories less than a week after the device was announced. In the past, it has taken several months for ASUS in conjunction with Google to produce accessories for the Nexus range, but now just within a couple of days of its unveiling we are already starting to see three new ASUS manufactured products.

Google’s newly updated Nexus 7 isn’t supposed to officially launch until July 30th but if you’re starving to get it now you can pick it up from a couple of retailers early.

Best Buy confirmed this morning that the Nexus 7 is available at all Best Buy stores now. Amazon has also started taking orders for the device on its website and is even offering same day delivery for it in some areas. Walmart appears to have received its initial stock as well.

Google’s second-generation Nexus 7 could be just weeks away with supply chain sources claiming it’ll launch in late July or early August. Like the current Nexus 7, the new model will reportedly be built by Asus, and it’ll feature much-improved specifications, including a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a Snapdragon 600 processor.

Well, that’s exciting! Apple and Amazon have apparently settled their differences over who can use the “App Store” name, making it possible for one or both companies to use it in their business.

US District Judge, Phyllis Hamilton, ordered today that the case be dismissed, as requested by both Cupertino-based Apple and Seattle-based Amazon. The trial, originally scheduled for August 19, will no longer occur.
