The new gold HTC One is now available to purchase SIM-free in the United Kingdom, thanks to Expansys. The device is priced at £479.99 ($794), which is a little pricey given the HTC One is almost a year old now, but it’s certainly a lot less than you’ll pay if you get it on a two-year contract.

Samsung has confirmed that its new rose gold Galaxy Note 3, which was announced back in December, will be exclusive to Verizon when it goes on sale in the U.S. Aside from its new paint job, the device is identical to the original Galaxy Note 3.

Sony has today announced a new Wi-Fi only version of its Xperia Z Ultra that will go on sale in Japan later this week, priced at ¥51,800 ($495). By removing the device’s cellular radio, the Japanese company has transformed it from a super-sized smartphone into a compact tablet, but the rest of its internals remain untouched.

There are bound to be teething problems as Google Glass rolls out to users. Back in October last year, Cult of Android reported on the Glass user given a ticket for “driving with monitor visible to driver.”

Now we have the not dissimilar case of a theater-goer removed from a screening for alleged piracy.

The viewer in question was watching Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit with his wife at an AMC movie theater in Columbus, Ohio, when he was roughly removed from the screening by Department of Homeland Security officials.
