Motorola’s custom Gallery application, which ships as standard on the Google-owned company’s Moto X, Moto G and Droid range of smartphones, is the latest in a long line of apps to make its way onto the Play Store for ‘easy updating.’ To celebrate the launch, Motorola has decided to give the app a little makeover, with a new light color palette and a slide-in hamburger menu mounted on the left-hand side of the screen.

According to Terence Eden, a renowned technology enthusiast and researcher, Google Calendar users are currently experiencing a relatively major and potentially embarrassing bug, which could lead to private events being revealed in third-party applications, published on your social networking feeds or even shared with a complete stranger via email.

In a tweet published earlier today, HTC U.S.A revealed that the much-anticipated Android 4.4 KitKat update for all Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile branded handsets of its flagship smartphone, the One, has just entered carrier labs for final testing, and we should be seeing certification as early as next week (certification is the third of four necessary stages involved in pushing out an OTA). So, hopefully, presuming no problems are detected, we only have a couple more days until the over-the-air upgrade starts arriving on our devices.

Samsung unveiled its former flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S3, back in May, 2012, and two weeks after its announcement the handset was available in the U.K. from several retailers for £479.99. Sony-Xperia-Z1-Compact

Sony unveiled the Xperia Z1 Compact, which is a scaled-down variant of its current flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z1, at the Consumer Electronics Show two weeks ago in Las Vegas, and although we can’t actually get our hands on the device just yet here in the United Kingdom, the U.K.-based online retailer, Clove Technology, slashed £30 off the Z1 Compact’s original pre-order price today — meaning you’ll be able to grab Sony’s latest Android smartphone for £399.
