T-Mobile has today announced that it’s teamed up with Samsung to exclusively launch a brand new, mid-range smartphone that won’t break the bank. The Galaxy Avant can be yours for $0 up front, followed by $9 per month for the next 24 months, or for $216 outright on a prepaid plan with no strings attached.

Samsung has confirmed that it will launch a smartphone made from “new materials” within the next six months to counter increased competition. The announcement comes a day after sources revealed Samsung’s plan to launch the Galaxy Alpha, a device made out of metal, just next week.

Pebble is currently in the midst of pushing out an essential stability update for it’s official Pebble Companion application via the Google Play Store. In terms of added functionality, this upgrade brings a completely revamped user interface for managing the connection between your smartphone and smartwatch, in addition to several bug fixes and speed optimizations.
