Just like last year’s One M8, the One M7 got an Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade earlier this year — but it seems that’s the last big update it will get. HTC has confirmed that while the Google Play Edition One M7 will get Android 5.1, the regular model will not.

OnePlus is announcing a brand new product next month, and we already know it won’t be a smartphone, a tablet, or a smartwatch. But it will be a “game changer,” according to a whole bunch of fancy promotional images the company outed today.

There were of complaints when it was discovered Verizon would be slapping its logo on the back of the Nexus 6 — which is designed to be a pure Android device. But with a bit of aggressive rubbing, you can get rid of it in no time.

Swapping Android for Windows 10 when it becomes available later this year may not require you to buy a brand new smartphone. Microsoft is working on ROMs that will allow users to swap Google’s operating system for its own on selected devices.
