It would appear that Intel is getting ready to showcase their latest Medfield mobile chips. Sometime last week, Intel was kind enough to allow a few lucky folks over at MIT some hands-on with a few Android prototypes sporting the new chips. Technology Review was able to test out both an Android phone (running Gingerbread) and an Android tablet (running ICS) to see just how well these chips perform. The devices themselves are simply “reference designs” sent out to entice manufactures and have absolutely no bearing on what they may look like when finally produced.

Google has put together a brilliant video showcasing our beloved Android and wishing us all a happy holiday. Great job guys, and happy holidays to you too. Enjoy!

The Firefox team has been hard at work trying to improve upon their mobile browser and release a version with an optimized tablet experience. They teased us back in August — showing off some Firefox magic on a Honeycomb tablet — and now, thanks to this latest update, they’ve given us the chance to experience it for ourselves.

Last night, Conan and Team Coco decided to roast (literally) the Kindle Fire for its various customer complaints. We’re not going to comment on the merits of such claims but we can certainly bask in the humor and wit of Team Coco. Watch the video after the break. Enjoy!

Popular third party app store GetJar is holding its own holiday sale for the month of December. They’ve put up a dedicated site with a scrollable list of paid apps from A to Z which have been discounted to the low price of — free! With over 100 apps to choose from, you’ll find many popular titles have been discounted. I quickly skimmed over the list and was surprised to find hits like Age of Zombies, Beautiful Widgets (first app to surpass 1 million paid downloads), Fruit Ninja, and more.

To take advantage of this sale, you will of course have to download the GetJar app store, but if you don’t mind another app store on your device, then it’s worth it to get all the free apps. All these apps store competing against each other, giving away apps for free to attract customers — isn’t competition great! This particular sale is for a limited time only so hit the link after the break and start enjoying some free apps courtesy of GetJar.
