The promotion for the white Nexus 4 (8GB) that came with a free white bumper on Google Play is no longer for sale. You can still pick-up the 16GB white Nexus 4 with a bumper, along with both black versions of the phone — just not the white 8GB model.

Droid Xyboard 10.1

Verizon’s Droid Xyboard owners find themselves in a very interesting situation after the carrier announced their cellular devices will be the only devices to receive the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, whilst their Wi-Fi counterparts will remain on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Wi-Fi devices generally surpass their cellular twins on a regular basis when it comes to software updates. So what we’re seeing today is pretty unusual.

Jelly Bean latest Galaxy S4 Photoshopped

An Android 4.3 Jelly Bean ROM was leaked earlier this week and much to our surprise it wasn’t for a Nexus device. The leaked ROM was for the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition, and was subsequently ported over to the standard GT-I9505 Galaxy S4.

There are very little user-facing changes in this build, however, since we don’t know how long it will be until the final build is released, we could very well see some more changes in the official Android 4.3 build when it comes out. Here’s what’s changed so far.

Chrome beta for Android has received another sizeable update, fixing a few long-standing niggles which could sometimes make using the browser a frustrating experience.

Google chat

Google Play Support now has a “Chat with us” option that lets you ask questions about hardware before making a purchase. Previously if you required any support from Google Play, you could either call support or email them. While both of these options work well, some of us would rather chat online to take care of business, which is now possible.
