Continuing to improve the Kindle Fire, Amazon has announced this evening a new update to the 7-inch tablet. Version 6.3 has just begun being pushed to devices and will arrive over-the-air shortly. The update adds an array of bug fixes, along with the ability to easily share favorite passages and notes from your books directly from Kindle Fire, without even leaving the Kindle app. Version 6.3 also features a few more updates.

Owners of the HSPA+ version of the Galaxy Nexus, GSM Nexus S, and Xoom Wi-Fi should be noticing Android 4.0.4 hitting their devices sometime this evening. The update, which just began rolling out earlier this afternoon, brings stability improvements, better camera performance, smoother screen rotation, improved phone number recognition, and more. Google announced the update on their Google Plus page, earlier this afternoon.


ASUS took to Facebook yesterday to tease an impending update for the Transformer Prime. According to them, the firmware update will have some “awesome new features,” and I have to say, they have me biting my fingernails in anticipation.


Epson today announced the world’s first Android-based see-through wearable display. While their target market appears to be age groups 55 and over, thanks to the solar shade design, it’s what’s on the inside that counts. Underneath their geriatric exterior, you’ll find quite a youthful lists of specs that allow users to view streaming video, experience side-by-side 3D content and enjoy downloaded digital content on a virtual 80-inch perceived screen. Last week Motorola was prepping a mysterious “soak test” for Motorola XOOM WiFi users. It now appears Motorola was getting ready to release Android 4.0.4 as they are sending emails out to let owners know. There’s no mention of when the update will begin rolling out but given the email, it should be soon. The update includes quicker screen rotation, camera improvements, improved stability and more.
