I’ve complained before about cable providers dragging their feet when it comes to bringing our TV subscriptions to our mobile devices, but today, Comcast takes a baby step with their new XFINITY TV Player for Android. Comcast/XFINITY subscribers will now be able to browse and watch thousands of XFINITY ON Demand TV shows from networks and premium channels such as HBO, Starz, Showtime, Cinemax, TNT, TBS, Cartoon Network and BBC America (yay for Doctor Who).

NVIDIA was full of news today. First they announced that the NVIDIA Icera 410 LTE multimode data modem chipset had been tested and validated for operation on the AT&T 4G LTE network. Then, in the company’s annual investor meeting today, Nvidia GM Mike Rayfield, revealed quite a bombshell: 30 quad-core Tegra 3 smartphones by the end of 2012!

That’s a lot of smartphones in general, but 30 quad-core Tegra 3 devices in half a year’s time is astonishing. The insane part about it is, almost half of them will be budget phones! Say what? Tegra 3 budget phones? It’s going to be one hell of a summer!

We simply love wallpapers. They’re one of the first changes we make to our Android devices and often represent our moods, interests, or wicked alter egos. They’re as unique as the individuals who use them and while some people pick one and stick with it, others change them more often than a teenager’s Facebook status. Each day we’re going to feature a free wallpaper for you to download and use on your Android device. Depending on your device, you may want to use your favorite photo editing software to resize the image for a better fit. Once that’s done, apply and enjoy. Your homescreen can thank us later. Cheers!
