Earlier today, Samsung officially launched the Galaxy Grand Neo as the successor to its former ultra-affordable flagship smartphone of 2013, the Galaxy Grand, a mid-range device which proved to be pretty popular with customers who wanted a big-screen Android experience without a big price tag.

According to a tweet published earlier today, HTC hopes to start pushing out the final update to AT&T-branded models of its former flagship smartphone, the One X, tomorrow, Wednesday, January 29. This upgrade is scheduled to bring the latest build of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and Sense 5.0 to the handset, in addition to the usual multitude of bug fixes and stability improvements.

Verizon is currently pushing out a relatively minor over-the-air update to all its carrier-branded 4G LTE enabled Ellipsis tablets currently located in the United States. Sadly, this upgrade doesn’t bring any major software modifications, such as Android 4.4 KitKat, but it does include a multitude of bug fixes, stability improvements and speed optimizations.

Samsung has confirmed that it’s aware of the unwelcome ‘bug’, which jumped on board the latest Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Galaxy Note 3, that prevents owners from using third-party S-View covers on their smartphones. According to the South Korean company, the source of the software compatibility issue has now been identified, and a software update incorporating a patch for the error will start rolling out shortly.

Samsung unveiled its former flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S4, back in March, 2013, and a month after its announcement the handset was available in the U.K. from several retailers for £599.99.
