If you’ve already updated to the latest Google Play Music release for Android and iOS, but you still can’t find the new podcasts section, here’s a simple fix that should bring it out of hiding.

Before we dig in, it should be noted that podcasts are currently only supported in Play Music for users in the U.S., so if you live in another country, this fix won’t work for you. However, Google has promised it will be rolling this feature out to more markets soon.

Now, here are the steps you need to follow if you do live in the U.S.:

  1. Check you have the latest version of Play Music installed. On iOS, this is as easy as downloading the update from the App Store. On Android, the latest version may not appear for you yet, but you can download the APK for manual installation.
  2. Open up the Play Music app and head into the navigation drawer on the left side
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Tap Refresh
  5. Let Play Music do its thing — it should take just a few seconds — then return to the navigation drawer and the Podcasts section should appear under Music Library

It’s that simple! You will now be able to browse the podcasts section, which includes top charts for each category, and search for your favorite shows. Those you subscribe to will appear under the Your Podcasts tab, and you’ll receive notifications when new episodes are available.
