Google is rolling out a Gmail update for Android that adds support for rich text formatting and instant RSVPs. That means you’ll finally be able to use bold, italic, and underlined text in your emails — and reply to invitations with simple one-tap options.

“These days, more than two-thirds of all Gmail users check email with their phones, so having a really amazing mobile experience is more important than ever,” Google explains. “That’s why today, we’re introducing two new Android features to help you manage your inbox on the go.”

In addition to the formatting options listed above, Gmail now supports colored and highlighted text, so it’s even easier to emphasize important sentences or paragraphs that you don’t want recipients to ignore — or just make your messages prettier.

With instant RSVPs, those who use Google Calendar or Microsoft Exchange can now respond to event invitations with just one tap. You’ll get three options to choose from — “yes,” “no,” and “maybe” — and your schedule will be displayed beneath them so you can quickly decide whether you can make it.

Like all Google app updates, this one will rollout in phases, so you should get it over the coming days if it isn’t already waiting for you in Google Play.
