A leaked specifications list for the upcoming Galaxy S7 suggests this year’s upgrade will be all about adding power and improving upon last year’s incredible camera. It also indicates that Samsung will be joining forces with Qualcomm again after avoiding its fiery Snapdragon 810.

Recent rumors have claimed Samsung will launch the Galaxy S7 early this year — possibly at Mobile World Congress next month — which could explain why leaks like this one are now appearing thick and fast. We can’t be sure it’s genuine, but it certainly looks exciting.

Alongside the new Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 graphics, the Galaxy S7 will pack 4GB of RAM and a 12.2-megapixel rear-facing camera, according to the leak below. The device is also expected to offer a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a Quad HD display.

That camera may seem like a downgrade from the 16-megapixel shooter that ships inside last year’s Galaxy S6 series and the Galaxy Note 5, but recent rumors have promised Samsung will make up for the drop in resolution by delivering a larger sensor.

Although it may not provide as many pixels, then, the new camera could still be capable of taking better photos — especially in low light. And let’s face it, that’s what is most important to almost all smartphone users; megapixels don’t really matter so long as you get great images.

What’s really interesting about this leak is it states the Galaxy S7 will have a 5.7-inch display. That suggests we’re looking at specifications for the larger Galaxy S7 edge+ here, and it could mean the device launches alongside its smaller siblings, rather than with the Note 6 later this fall.
