If you don’t want to pay the full cost of a Nexus 5X or Nexus 6P upfront, then there is a finance option that lets you spread out the cost of the device over 24 months.

But it comes with a catch: It’s only available if you get your new Nexus on Google’s Project Fi network.

If you were planning to get your new Nexus on Project Fi anyway, then this won’t be an issue for you. But if you’re already tied into a contract with another carrier, it’s going to make things a little trickier; you’ll either have to pay full price for your device upfront, or run two plans simultaneously until your existing contract ends.

The finance option is ideal for those who can’t or don’t want to pay full price for their new Nexus when they place their order. Prices start at just $15.79 a month for a 16GB Nexus 5X, or $20.79 a month for a 32GB Nexus 6P.

All finance plans are spread out over two years, but you can pay off the remaining fee at any time — which is handy if you plan to upgrade to the next-generation Nexus in 12 months.

Of course, not anyone can buy a device on Project Fi — you need an invite first. You can request one on Google’s Project Fi website now.
