Quick toggles disappearing on your Galaxy S6? You’re not the only one

The Galaxy S6 and S6 edge may be two of the best Android devices you can buy today, but they aren’t without their teething troubles — and the latest is by far the most mysterious.

Some users are finding that the toggles inside their Quick Settings menu — which allow you to active and deactivate features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Power Saving with just a tap — are disappearing at random.

“No one really knows why this is happening, the handsets shipped with these toggles and seeing as how they correspond to some very important functions it wouldn’t make any sense for Samsung to remove them altogether,” SamMobile reports.

Those experiencing the issue had all of their toggles initially, but for no apparent reason, they began disappearing. The only known fix at this point is to backup all of your data and then perform a factory reset, which involves wiping your device and setting it up from scratch.

It’s a long-winded process, and after you’ve done it, your toggles could disappear again, so it’s not exactly ideal. Fortunately, you can still active and deactivate features from within the Settings menu even after the Quick Settings toggle has vanished.

The good news is, Samsung is already aware of this problem, and says it is “working on the issue.” Hopefully we’ll see a software update to fix it soon, then, but given Samsung’s track record with updates, it could take a little while.
