The OnePlus One’s long-awaited CyanogenMod 12S update has finally been certified by Google and will be making its way to users in the “next few days.”

“CM12s just passed certification today,” confirmed OnePlus founder Carl Pei on Twitter. “Thanks for the patience, expect rollout in the next few days.”

This is the One’s first CyanogenMod update based on Android 5.0 Lollipop, and users have been waiting for it since last November. OnePlus originally promised it would be available within 90 days of Lollipop’s public debut, but it has since ran into countless delays.

But the wait is almost over for One users.

Unlike OnePlus’ own OxygenOS software, which must be installed manually, CyanogenMod 12S will be an over-the-air update just like any other. That means users won’t have to do anything special to get it — just hit the “update” button when it arrives.

CM 12S will include a number of features that aren’t present in OxygenOS, such as Cyanogen’s own Android apps, MaxxAudio enhancements, and the CM Theme Engine. While it may have been a long time coming, then, it should be worth the wait.
