An official HTC press invite for a “More than One” event in Beijing on April 8 indicates the Taiwanese company’s rumored One M9 Plus is finally on its way.

We’ve been hearing a lot about the device in recent months, and we initially expected it to be unveiled alongside the regular One M9 at Mobile World Congress earlier this month. But when that didn’t happen, many wondered whether it had been chopped from HTC’s plans.

Now the More than One invite all but confirms the One M9 Plus is on its way.

The device depicted on the invite looks exactly like the One M9 Plus that has been popping up in recent leaks; it’s almost identical to the original One M9, but has a circular camera lens and what appears to be a second rear-facing sensor.

Based on the images below, the device is also expected to have a fingerprint scanner embedded in a physical home button, a Quad HD display, a 64-bit MediaTek MT6795T processor with PowerVR G6200 graphics, and 3GB of RAM.

While it may not carry a Snapdragon chip, the rest of its internals — particularly that Quad HD display — will make the One M9 Plus more appealing than the One M9 for many. But we’ll have to wait until April 8 to find out when the larger device will be available.
