Google appears to have stopped selling the Nexus 5 in red or white after both devices vanished from the Play Store last night. Only the black model now remains in both 16GB and 32GB variants, however, both of those are currently out of stock, too.

It wasn’t too surprising to see that Google didn’t immediately discontinue the Nexus 5 when it launched the Nexus 6. Not only is the newer model huge, but it’s also considerably more expensive than its predecessors. Keeping last year’s model around gives those who prefer more compact devices and a pure Android experience a second option.

But as we should expect, the Nexus 5 is slowly but surely going to disappear. It’s already difficult to get hold of through Google Play, with supplies seemingly low or just nonexistent all of the time — and now two of its brighter color options are no longer available at all.

You will still find these models on sale through third-party retailers, but if Google has stopped making them, they’ll become harder to get hold of as existing stock sells. If you want a Nexus 5 in red or white, then, get one as soon as you can.

And even if you do prefer the black model, you should still use a third-party retailer anyway; Google still hasn’t reduced the Nexus 5’s price tag in the Play Store, and it can be had significantly cheaper elsewhere.

UPDATE: AndroidPIT reports that Google is in the process of discontinuing all Nexus 5 variants. The black model will be sticking around until remaining stock sells, but after that, we shouldn’t expect to see anymore.

Goodbye, Nexus 5. You’ve been great.
