Google has long been telling us its Nexus smartphones will take great pictures, but even with the many camera improvements it brought to the Nexus 5, we’re yet to see it deliver on that promise. Will the Nexus 6 be different? The gallery below features some of the first photos taken with Google’s latest smartphone.

The images were snapped by Duan Dao, who has gotten hold of a pre-release Nexus 6 and begun posting sample photos to Google+ ahead of the handset’s release next month. Although they’re not exactly masterpieces, they all look like pretty good photos, with bright colors and plenty of detail.

Dao has more sample shots on his Google+ page, and he says he’ll be adding more as he continues to put the Nexus 6’s camera through its paces. You’ll find the complete collection via the source link below.
