Samsung today published its official introduction video for the Galaxy Tab S, which showcases the swanky new slate’s best features following its official unveiling in New York City on Thursday evening. The two-minute clip highlights its slim and lightweight design, but the tablet’s impressive Super AMOLED display is by far its biggest selling point.

With a 2560×1600 resolution, the Galaxy Tab S’s new display is incredibly crispy, and it promises “colors you’ve never seen before,” deeper contrast and more refined blacks. Like Samsung’s latest smartphones, it also has Adaptive Display technology, so it automatically optimizes itself based on the content on screen.

The 10.5-inch Galaxy Tab S also packs two quad-core processors — one clocked at 1.9GHz and another clocked at 1.3GHz, 3GB of RAM, up to 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, and a 7,900mAh battery. It runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat coupled with Samsung’s latest TouchWiz user interface.

There’s also a smaller 8.4-inch model (pictured above) for those who like their tablets to be a little more portable. It features the same resolution so it’s even sharper than its bigger brother — plus very similar internals, including the same processor. It does have a smaller 4,900mAh battery, however, and as you’d expect, it is cheaper.

The Galaxy Tab S will be available in select markets starting next month.
