Samsung has inadvertently leaked an unreleased Galaxy smartphone with a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor on its website. It’s thought the handset could be a Galaxy S5 mini — or even a cheaper Galaxy S5 Neo with older internals.

The new handset, which carries the “SM-G750A” model number, was spotted in user agent code taken from Samsung’s website. The code mentions its Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz — as well as a 720p display. It also confirms the handset is running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

These specifications make Samsung’s new handset a midrange smartphone. It’s markedly not as good as the upcoming Galaxy S5, but it’s a huge improvement over last year’s Galaxy S4 mini — which had a disappointing 560×960 resolution, and a dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor.

There’s a good possibility the handset could be a Galaxy S5 mini, or a cheaper Galaxy S5 Neo, then. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until Samsung announces it — whenever that may be — until we find out for certain.
