Thanks to an early listing from a Polish retailer, we already know pretty much everything there is to know about the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, but Samsung today confirmed its specifications when it made the 7-inch slate official. According to the South Korean company, the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite “provides users a variety of ways to capture, view, listen, create, and share content with others without compromising value.”

The Galaxy Tab 3 Lite is very much an entry-level tablet. It has a 7-inch display with a mediocre 1024×600 resolution at 170 pixels-per-inch, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage. The latter is expandable via the microSD card slot, and there’s a 3,600mAh battery that promises up to eight hours of video playback.

The new tablet looks just like the original and slightly more expensive Galaxy Tab 3, and it’s small enough to hold in one hand. It’s powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface, which includes features like Samsung Apps, Kies, ChatON, Samsung Link, and Samsung Voice.

The Galaxy Tab 3 Lite will be available globally in both black and white, but Samsung is yet to provide us with pricing or a release date. If the Polish retailer’s pricing is correct, the device should sell for around $130 in the U.S., and £80 in the U.K.
