G Flex, LG’s Answer To The Samsung Galaxy Round, Appears In Leaked Press Renders

The LG G Flex, LG’s answer to the Samsung Galaxy Round, has appeared in a new collection of leaked photos that show off its curved glass display. We knew the handset was coming — ever since LG teased its “bendable and unbreakable” smartphone displays — and we finally get to see what it’s going to look like.

And if you ask me, it’s beautiful.

LG has made some pretty good-looking smartphones over the years, but the G Flex has to be the best. I’m not a massive fan of curved glass displays — I don’t really see the point in them, and I think you can make a smartphone with an unbreakable display without having it bend in the middle — but I’d happily buy this one.

It’s certainly prettier than the Galaxy Round, that’s for sure. What we don’t know at this point, however, is what will end up inside this device. Engadget reports it will have a 6-inch display, but the rest of its internals are still a mystery. We expect to hear more from LG next month, though.

While the G Flex will certainly compete with the Galaxy Round, it cannot be accused of copying. It may be released a few weeks later, but we know LG has been working hard on this for some time, so it’s not as if it was rushed out of the gate to compete with Samsung.
