New DROID Bionic Update Ready To Roll, Improves Device Stability And More

I feel like today should be national Verizon news day. Another piece of news coming out of Verizon today is an update to the Motorola DROID Bionic. Software version 5.9.902 for the DROID Bionic is ready to roll and includes many welcomed fixes. For Bionic users plagued by crashes and lock-ups, this hefty update should improve all that.

On top of the numerous fixes, you’ll find Verizon threw in a few pieces of bloatware — they know how much you love their pre-installed apps. The update is 57.6MB and started rolling out to devices earlier today. Be on the lookout for the OTA, and if you’d like to check for it yourself, simply head into Settings > About phone > System updates.
