HTC Teases One Mini In Strange Infographic [Image]

HTC has begun teasing the upcoming HTC One Mini in a strange infographic that lists “little things that pack a big punch.” The Taiwanese company clearly hopes to change the belief that small means compromising ahead of the One Mini’s launch, which is presumably not too far away.

“It’s often assumed that small equals timid or ineffective,” the infographic reads. “Thing again. These tiny people, animals and phenomena pack a big punch!”

The poster features a mite, which “has been known to hold objects up to 1180x times its own weight;” a Trinidad Scorpion Moruga pepper, which is only as big as a golf ball but 250 times hotter than a jalapeño; and the movie Paranormal Activity, which was made with a $15,000 budget but grossed $197,000,000 worldwide.

You get the idea. Some small things can be mighty and powerful, and that’s clearly the message HTC will attempt to make with the One Mini, a smaller version of the flagship HTC One. We’ve already seen lots of leaked pictures of the device, and we know all about its internal specifications.

It will have a 4.3-inch 720p display, a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. It will also have a 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera — just like the HTC One — and it’ll run Android 4.2.2 with Sense 5.

While the One Mini won’t be a high-end smartphone, then, it certainly will be a very capable device. It’s expected to get its grand unveiling next month.
