We had expected Samsung to announce the new Galaxy S4 Mini at its London event on June 20, but it appears the Korean company couldn’t wait that long to show of its latest smartphone. The Galaxy S4 Mini is now official with a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display, a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, and LTE connectivity.

Like its bigger brother, the Galaxy S4 Mini runs the latest Android 4.2.2 operating system, skinned with Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface. That means it has many of the software features Samsung’s latest flagship has, including Sound & Shot, Best Photo, Panorama Shot, S Health, S Translator, and more.

The Galaxy S4 Mini has an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera, and a built-in infrared remote control. It weighs just 107 grams and measures 8.94mm thick.

The device will be available in two colors, white front and black mist, and it’ll support either 4G LTE or 3G HSPA+, depending on the market. Samsung’s yet to confirm its release date, but says the Galaxy S4 Mini will be on show at its June 20 event — so maybe we’ll hear more then.
