Sony: Jelly Bean Upgrades Almost Complete For A Slew Of Xperias


Still waiting for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to arrive on your Sony Xperia smartphone? Well, you’re not the only one, but there is some good news. Sony has confirmed that it’s now in the final stages of preparing Jelly Bean for a slew of Xperia devices, and the company promises more news this week.

“Just a quick update to say we hear you,” Sony’s announcement on Twitter read, before confirming that Jelly Bean is in the “[very] final stage” for the following devices:

  • Xperia P
  • Xperia Go
  • Xperia S
  • Xperia SL
  • Xperia acro S
  • Xperia ion

If you have one of these devices, you shouldn’t be waiting too long for the update to arrive, then. Sony promises that it will have more news for us this week, so we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for further information.

The Jelly Bean update will bring some huge improvements to your device, including new Android features like Google Now and Project Butter. You can also expect improvements to some of Sony’s built-in apps, including Walkman, Album, and Movies.
