ZTE Grand X Quad Leaked Ahead Of Official Announcement

The Grand X Quad, a new 5-inch smartphone from ZTE, has been leaked ahead of its official unveiling. The device looks a lot like the ZTE Grand S, the world’s thinnest smartphone with a 1080p display, which was unveiled at CES back in January. But this appears to be a slightly more affordable model.

The Grand X Quad has a 5-inch 720p display, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 2,500 mAh battery. The device is expected to run Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, and although its internal storage options are currently unknown, there will be a microSD card slot. As far as cameras go, the rear-facing snapper with be an 8-megapixel one.

While those specifications aren’t quite as impressive as those of the Grand S, there’s certainly not bad. 720p displays are kind of being overshadowed by full HD 1080p displays now, but for the vast majority of users, a 720p resolution is plenty on a smartphone. As is a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, and 1GB of RAM.

Whether it’s a worthwhile purchase will all depend on its price tag, which is yet to be revealed. As soon as we have he official announcement from ZTE, we’ll update you.
