Discover Becomes First Company To Make Use Of Google Wallet’s Save to Wallet API
Discover has become the first card issuer to make use of Google Wallet’s Save to Wallet API for Payment Cards. What exactly does that mean? Well, for Discover card holders, it means they can now add their cards to Google Wallet in two easy steps:
- Visit discover.com/googlewallet and sign into your Discover account
- Click “Add Your Card”
Now that Discover has taken the first step, hopefully more companies will jump on board, making it quick, easy, and painless for us consumers to link our cards.
Google’s recent changes to Wallet, combined with these APIs, has made using Google Wallet much more feasible. It has already resulted in an influx of signups and app usage and was really the springboard Google needed to get it back up after some major setbacks.
If you haven’t yet added a card to Google Wallet, why not give it a try? People’s reactions when you pay for something using your phone is absolutely priceless. Go for it!
