Samsung Galaxy S4 users may still be enjoying the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update they recently received, but it won’t be too long before they’re enjoying its successor, Android 4.4 KitKat.

The update is expected to arrive on the Galaxy S4, and the Galaxy Note 3, sometime in January — while Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II users can expect to see it by the end of April.

The reliable SamMobile has been told by its “insiders” that Samsung is already testing these updates internally, and now they point us to a leaked Samsung document (above) obtained by iTechAddict that states their respective release dates.

The international Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 — with the GT-I9500 and SM-N900 model numbers respectively — are scheduled to receive their KitKat upgrades in January. The international Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note II — with the GT-I9300 and SM-N7100 model numbers — should then receive theirs sometime during March or April.

We must point out, however, that we’re unfamiliar with iTechAddict, so we don’t know whether this particular document is genuine. Those who own one of the handsets above will be hoping it is, of course, but we urge you not to get your hopes up too much just yet.

Even if it is a genuine Samsung document, there’s still a possibility that these release dates will be missed for various reasons.
