Down with those elitist Ice Cream Sandwich users and their Roboto fonts! That’s right, Ice Cream Sandwich now occupies 1% of Android devices according to this month’s Android Platform Distribution chart. While that’s really just a sliver of the pie, at least its a number that’s rising. Speaking of rising numbers, Gingerbread is now on 58.6% of Android devices and is by far the most distributed version of Android, with the fading Froyo at 27.8%.
The numbers haven’t changed that much since last month and I expect them to stay right about where they are until Mobile World Congress ends. After that, I expect manufacturers to start updating their devices to Ice Cream Sandwich, but until then, I’ll enjoy being part of the 1%.
This will be the only time in my life when I will be in the 1%

This shows you how this system works. Users are not Google’s customers – the manufacturers are. And the manufacturer doesn’t care about your user experience at all. That’s why they never upgrade Android phones, and have zero motivation to offer the latest version of Android to you. They fiddle around with Android to load crapware onto it that will “maximize their revenue” by making you use their services, instead of giving you a great user experience.

So that would be a total off 1 phone that has Ice Cream Sandwich
