Samsung ‘Accidentally’ Leaks Galaxy Note 8.0 In Galaxy Note 10.1 Press Shots

Earlier this week, Samsung announced a Garnet Red version of the Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE in South Korea, and it published a number of press shots to show off the new device. It seems that within those press shots, the company may have accidentally revealed the Galaxy Note 8.0 as well.

I say “accidentally” lightly, because I have no doubt that Samsung revealed the device on purpose.

As you can see from the picture above, the device in the background is not a Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE — the device that Samsung was supposed to be promoting. It’s also quite clearly white, not Garnet Red like the new Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE — the device that Samsung was supposed to be promoting.

Furthermore, Samsung has a message written on the device’s display.

Now, you can call me cynical, but I have no doubt that device was supposed to be there. There’s no way a white tablet that isn’t a Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE gets leaked in a press shot for a Garnet Red Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE accidentally.

It’s obviously there to get us talking about this mystery device, which looks identical to the Galaxy Note 8.0 that was leaked a few weeks ago.

Not only does this get us writing about the new Garnet Red tablet twice, but we’re also getting Samsung fans excited about another new tablet that’s on its way. If you ask me, that’s very clever marketing on Samsung’s part.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 will get its official unveiling at Mobile World Congress later this month.
