The guys over at phoneArena.com got their hands on quite a few pics of an unannounced HTC device running Ice Cream Sandwich and HTC Sense 4.0. There’s no indication of a name for this device but the photos reveal quite a lot of other information. This mystery device appears to be a Verizon 4G LTE device as their logo can clearly be seen on the boot up screen. Other than that, specs of this device include:

HTC has announced on their Facebook page that thier initial upgrade process of bringing Ice Cream Sandwich to HTC devices will begin towards the end of March. In their statement they go on to list the first HTC devices to be upgraded as well as devices set to be updated later in the year. If you’re freaking out about whether your device is on the list, hit the break and read HTC’s full statement.

HTC has acknowledged a WiFi issue with some of their Android handsets which could allow any Android application with the ACCESS_WIFI_STATE permission to view all the credentials of a Wi-Fi network. HTC has been working with Google since September to work out a fix and they’ve already patched most of the devices with OTA updates — but they have stated that some devices will need to be updated manually. According to the guys who originally discovered the vulnerability, phones affected by the bug include:

HTC’s thinnest smartphone just caught some quality blurry cam time thanks to HTC Hub. I believe it’s the first time we’re seeing Ice Cream Sandwich get “Sensed” and it just reminds me of why I prefer pure Android devices. Although I haven’t had any hands-on time with the device, I can tell you aesthetically, stock Ice Cream Sandwich looks so much sexier. The Sense UI on the Ville just looks outdated and like some kind of Gingerbread Mod. It’s definitely not my cup of tea, but if you’re liking what the Ville is showing, you may also be interested in what specs it’s featuring.

Deals on top-tier phones have been abundant lately and Amazon seems to be swimming in them. Another doozy from Amazon has the HTC Rezound for an amazing $79.99. Of course that’s with a a new 2-year contract, but if you’re looking to upgrade, it’ll still only cost you $159. This is a great deal for a phone that just recently received a nice update as well as an unlockable bootloader.
