AT&T took to Twitter earlier today to remind us of ASUS’ upcoming PadFone X which was first mentioned back in January at CES in Barcelona, when the operator announced that it will have exclusivity over the handset when it launches in the U.S. later this year. In spite of this latest revelation, the information page for the PadFone X still states that the device as simply ‘coming soon’, so we can only assume that this means the new smartphone-tablet hybrid will be released sooner rather than later this year.

Earlier today, AT&T announced it will be the first operator in the United States to use the newly-established LTE-Advanced technique, ‘Carrier Aggregation’, to produce significantly faster 4G upload and download speeds on its rapidly-growing LTE network, which coincidently still holds the title of being the fastest in the U.S.

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S5, its first high-end Android-powered flagship smartphone of 2014, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last month, However, the South Korean company omitted to inform us that an exclusive LTE-Advanced AT&T variant would also be landing in the States, along with the 4G model. A recent FCC filing shows that the upcoming S5 variant will support AT&T’s LTE and HSPA data services — bands 2, 4, 15 and 17 — thus confirming the existence of LTE Advanced capabilities on the handset.

A new revelation on Twitter has revealed that the newly announced HTC Desire 610 handset will make its way to American carrier AT&T. It is not known as to when this variant will be launched exactly, as the Twitter source only gave away news of its arrival. But AT&T users will be glad to know that the latest midrange offering from HTC will make its way to their favorite carrier in the coming weeks.

America’s second largest carrier, AT&T, has just announced the addition of 12 new countries to its international 4G LTE roaming list. Users can now enjoy 4G LTE in these new destinations, although nothing was mentioned in terms of a price cut or discounts for roaming customers.
