Earlier today, Jason Mackenzie, the President of HTC America, officially revealed on Twitter that HTC’s flagship smartphone will not meet its self-imposed 90-day deadline for its much-anticipated Android 4.4 KitKat update to touch down in the U.S. and Canada. However, according to Mackenize, it shouldn’t take more than a couple of weeks for the HTC One updates to be complete.

Samsung unveiled its former flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note II, back in August, 2012, and a month later the handset was available in the U.K. from several retailers for £599.99. AT&T is currently rolling out its final update to all HTC One X’s located in the United States. This upgrade brings the latest build of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and Sense 5.0 to the 2012 flagship, in addition to the usual multitude of bug fixes and stability improvements.

Boost Mobile is currently rolling out the recently announced Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to all of its carrier-branded Moto G variants in the United States. As well as the bump up to 4.4.2, this particular upgrade also brings support for Motorola Migrate in addition to a multitude of bug fixes and stability improvements.

Both Rogers and Fido have started pushing out the much-anticipated over-the-air 4.4 KitKat update to all their carrier-branded Motorola Moto X handsets located in the Canada. In terms of functionality, this upgrade brings the latest build of the open source operating system, together with a multitude of additional bug fixes, stability improvements and speed enhancements.
