A leaked internal document has surfaced on the internet revealing that Sprint’s much-anticipated Android 4.4.2 update for Samsung’s former flagship smartphone of 2013, the Galaxy S4, will start rolling out later today to all carrier-branded handsets located in the United States. The upgrade will bring the latest build of KitKat in addition to several enhancements for the TouchWiz custom user interface.

LG Korea has officially unveiled the much-anticipated G Pro 2, the upscaled successor to its previous flagship smartphone of 2013. Unfortunately, the South Korean company did not provide us with an official launch date for the 5.9-inch phablet, but it did hint that it will be on display at this year’s Mobile World Congress, which is scheduled to take place in just eleven days time on Monday, February 24, 2014, in Barcelona, Spain.

Rovio took to the official Angry Birds Twitter account earlier today to tease the release of a new game, which is said to encompass a ‘big adventure’ and to help us on our travels we’ll be assisted by some great ‘new birds’.

Galaxy Note 10.1 Verizon

It’s been a long time coming, but we are finally starting to see signs suggesting that Samsung’s flagship tablet of 2014, the Galaxy Note 10.1, is heading to popular U.S. carrier, Verizon. A leaked press render has been posted on Twitter revealing a new version of the slate carrying the operators traditional branding.

Last week we saw LG unveil the Optimus L1 II Tri, a triple SIM, low-end ultra-affordable smartphone that hit the shelves in many independent retail stores in Brazil for $127 off-contract. Samsung has responded by unveiling the Galaxy Star Trios — a rival triple SIM smartphone designed exclusively to compete with the L1 II Tri in Brazil.
