Google’s Chromium team appears to be developing a Chrome Remote Desktop app for Android. Dubbed Chromoting, the app can connect to any Chrome-enabled computer, allowing the user to view and manipulate a host’s desktop.

Lookout has partnered with T-Mobile to provide a free Lookout Premium subscription to customers who purchase Asurion PHP (Premium Handset Protection) or sign up to T-Mobile’s brand new Jump! program.

Google has officially announced that it has expanded the availability of its Play Books service on smartphones and tablets to an additional 13 new countries across Europe.

On Thursday last week, HTC officially unveiled its latest HTC One variant, the One Mini, which effectively is a scaled down model of its current flagship device, and now networks together with retailers in the U.K. are preparing for its release.

Just over a week ago, Vodafone confirmed that it would be the only U.K. network to carry Huawei’s 6.1-inch phablet, the Ascend Mate, but gave no indication of its release date. As of yesterday, residents in the United Kingdom are now able to pick up the Mate on Vodafone for free on a £29 per month contract, or for a one time payment of £300 on PAYG.
