Motorola Droid X Update

The Droid X was Motorola’s flagship Android smartphone back in the summer of 2010, and many of us have already forgotten about the handset. However, after a year and a half of inactivity, Verizon has officially announced that it has started rolling out a security update for those who are still using this somewhat outdated device.

To celebrate the unveiling of Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note III, T-Mobile is giving away one of the high-end phablets, together with the South Korean company’s newly announced Galaxy Gear smartwatch to a very lucky mail list subscriber.

Just two days ago, Samsung officially unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note III, during its Unpacked event in Berlin. And today, U.S. Cellular has officially announced that it will be carrying the South Korean company’s new flagship smartphone in October.

The British independent communications retailer Phones4U have reached out to us with some great news for U.K. residents. As from today, Brits will be able to pre-order the brand new Samsung Galaxy Note III, and if that’s not enough; each person who pre-orders will also receive a complimentary bag of goodies, to get them started with their new Note.

Today, the BBC is pushing out an update for its official iPlayer app on Google Play, bringing support for Android 4.3, as well as a multitude of bug fixes and stability improvements together with the ability for users to download TV shows.
